Denholm is delighted to be partnering with Golden Charter, one of the UK’s leading funeral plan providers, as they look to recruit a CTO, who will join their Executive team. This role is being offered on a hybrid working basis with 2-3 days in their Glasgow head office each week. The role reports directly to the CEO and acts as both a technology and transformation expert, making decisions with the wider executive that will impact the current and future operations of the company. The CTO will play a key and leading role in the businesses transformation agenda, including how they prioritise, manage and govern business change.The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) will play a pivotal and leading role in guiding and overseeing the development and management of Golden Charter’s technology plans and portfolio. The CTO is responsible for aligning the technology strategy with the product, marketing and customer strategy, and the overall business goals and objectives. By championing the company’s product and sales vision, the CTO plays a crucial role in driving growth and achieving business and customer success.Responsibilities:

What you will bring to the role:

• Proven hands-on experience in a senior technology leadership role and experience of successful business transformation.
• Proven experience in deploying modern technology solutions and effective ways of working.
• A technology-focused leader, with experience, positive and negative, of delivering enterprise technology change/modernisation successfully and well versed in security by design architecture and cyber security threat and vulnerability management.
• Ability to motivate teams to work toward a common goal. To clearly delegate responsibilities to other leaders in the Technology department and experience in providing mentoring where needed particularly in Enterprise Architecture and Information Security.
• Experience in network infrastructure, security, and help desk support and how to optimise expertise and resources. Demonstrable experience in working with and supporting product-led development teams and knowledge of agile practices.
• Experience at executive level of providing leadership on technology strategy and direction. Clear communication skills and being open to feedback for continued improvement.
• Proven experience in using risk and compliance as drivers for change
• Previous experience working in the financial services sector or other regulated industry would be desirable but not essential.
