This role is to deliver cyber security strategy, which is aligned with the UK Government’s National Cyber Security Strategy, and the Cyber Assessment Framework. It is focused on cyber-attack monitoring, incident response, cyber defence, threat intelligence, and the support of cyber security assurance programmes (eg GovAssure).
You need strong technical skills in cyber security operations, incident response, and threat intelligence are essential. There is particular emphasis on the use of Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Network/Endpoint Detection and Response (NDR/EDR), and threat hunting (eg MITRE, TTPs).
A focus on collaboration and consensus building is essential.
You need to have
Demonstrable knowledge of cyber-attack analysis, able to correlate multiple event sources to provide a complete analysis of an intrusion, and to effective threat hunt (eg MITRE, kill chain)
Demonstrable experience with best practice Incident Response principles (eg NCSC/NIST)
Demonstrable knowledge of Threat Intelligence reporting and modelling
Any familiarity with NCSC Cyber Assessment Framework (CAF) is helpful though not necessary.
The role is hybrid with office in the City of London.
Salary range is up to 70k base plus benefits, 27% Pension contribution ( 18900) from company, plus bonus, leave allowance of 27.5 days (pro-rata) plus paid bank holidays and financial support to employees undertaking professional qualifications, skills training and development that are relevant to the role. The company will also pay individual subscriptions to professional bodies.
