Senior Solutions Engineer ( 3rd Line Engineer)

Main Responsibilities for the successful Senior Solutions Engineer:

• Provide advanced support and troubleshooting for systems, both on-site and off-site including all technology aspects such as infrastructure, connectivity, servers and end-user-devices.
• Ensure that service tickets are dealt within inside of SLA targets and internal targets
• Provide escalation on service tickets where necessary to yourself or other team members
• Work with our clients to arrange site visits, down time windows, and maintenance schedules
• Expand upon the automation in use to manage the maintenance and fault resolution of client systems
• Manage critical incidents and communicate effectively with clients to ensure the incident is resolved quickly.
• Configure and install new solutions to meet the needs of clients, both on-site and off-site.
• Follow and adhere to the requirements of Information Security Management System Policies and Procedures
• Communicate and provide information by relevant methods internally and externally to assist and enable organizational operations and effective service.
• Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge necessary for the effective performance of the role.

Main requirements for the successful Senior Solutions Engineer:

• Min 4 years working in a Managed Service Provider or similar role
• An excellent understanding of and hands on experience with networking technologies and their associated concepts such as VLANs/LAN/WAN/WiFi/DHCP/DNS
• A great knowledge of security best practices, both supporting and implementation
• Experience leading on the implementation of new products, services, and migrations
• Experience of Cyber Essentials, it s concepts, assessment, and certification
• Expectational knowledge of the services and concepts of Microsoft Server & Desktop operating systems
• A strong understanding of supporting Microsoft Exchange Server & it s associated technologies
• Exposure & understanding of the use & benefit of RMM solutions in the automation of machine maintenance and remote fixes
• Ability to over see workload for your self and your team members
