Security & Network Operations Analyst

Our truster partner who operates on a global scale is seeking a Security & Network Operations Analyst who has strong capabilities in SIEM, Cybersecurity Incidents, Azure, and O365 security to join a high-performance team on a hybrid basis based in Central London. Our client is looking to pay a basic salary of £55,000 + 20% bonus + 5k car allowance to start ASAP.

The chosen candidate ideally will have experience working within the retail, property, or E-commerce sectors with exposure to networking (VLANs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, Endpoint) coupled with exposure to Security (vulnerability management, audit assessments). Core responsibilities:

• Monitor the logging of events in the SIEM and take appropriate actions
• Review incidents to assess their urgency and escalate incidents if necessary.
• Network switch and Wi-Fi troubleshooting across multiple sites including.
• Setting up VLANs and connecting devices on correct subnets.
• Working with our Firewall support vendors to troubleshoot network connectivity issues.
• Monitor, manage, and configure security and networking tools
• Identify network and security incidents and root cause analysis.
• Documenting incidents and analysing data to help prevent future attacks.
• Assess the scope of an attack and affected systems and collect data for further analysis.
• Contain and resolve cybersecurity incidents.
• Monitor endpoint security and endpoint detection and respond appropriately to identified threats.
• Support SOC/NOC assessments and Compliance/Audit assessments.

Core technical skill set:

• Proven experience within security and networking environments preferably within retail, property or E-commerce.
• Strong capabilities in SIEM technology
• A background in Networks, VLANs, and Wi-Fi connectivity issues across multiple sites
• Strong understanding of Azure and O365 security
• Strong understanding of Vulnerability management
• Although not required, the following certifications are desirable (Security +, CEH, or related certification)
