Position overview:
There has never been a more exciting time to work for Sembcorp Energy UK. As part of our Sembcorp Industries objectives of moving from brown to green we are looking at a programme of work across our UK business that will continue our transformation to be a leader in the delivery of sustainable energy services. Over the last 5 years there has been significant expansion of the business through the acquisition of the UK’s largest flexible generator and an ongoing project to build 150MW of batteries at the Wilton site. Over the coming years we plan to continue and accelerate this journey with a growth in renewables (including battery energy storage), the transition to sustainable energy production and expansion of urban solutions.
We currently operate a hybrid delivery model, due to the diversity of the portfolio of programmes and projects. These range from large scale investments in digital technologies at the forefront of data science and optimisation, to projects addressing legacy and operational issues, to large scale construction of nationally significant infrastructure.
At the heart of these delivery streams is our Transformation Office which provides the management to define and deliver the portfolio. It operates several critical functions; building best practice to support a common set of methodologies, ensuring we plan strategically and ensuring we have the governance in place to control and manage the diverse range of programmes and projects.
This role will play a key part in coordinating, directing, and overseeing the development and execution of a range of complex digital projects and the delivery of additional capabilities to existing system through a product development methodology. Working across all areas of the UK business they will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including software development, data science, cyber security, and IT to transform the digital capability within Sembcorp Energy UK.
