What you’ll be doing:
For the role as Security Engineer you will perform a hands-on role across a broad range of IT and Information Security domains.
The role is a key part of the Cyber/Information Security function. It plays a key role in the security service offered to keep the Bank and our customer assets safe.
As a Security Engineer you will contribute across broad range of initiatives covering, but not limited to Security Operations, Security Engineering, Security Assurance, Threat Detection, Risk Mgmt, Cloud Security Posture Mgmt (CSPM), Threat Intelligence, Vulnerability Mgmt and Incident Management and Response
Responsibilities:
Hands-on configuration of Chetwoods Security Product set, covering Vulnerability Mgmt, Identity and Access Mgmt, Endpoint Protection, Domain Mgmt, Data Loss Protection, Logging and Monitoring, Perimeter / Network Protection
Hands-on AWS Public Cloud configuration leveraging Infrastructure as Code (IaC) pipelines
Support Security Operations activities to analyse and improve the security posture of the Chetwood IT estate
Participate in security and control assessments
Participate in incident triage, response, containment and remediation activities
Identify and suggest security requirements and gaps in applications, environments and processes
Participate in reviewing Cloudformation and Terraform code
Assist in the design and implementation of secure application patterns and tooling
Assist in the management of cloud security services and tooling
Skills and experience:
Knowledge of the following security domains: Data Security, Logging and Monitoring, Malware Detection, Threat Detection & Incident Response, Threat Intelligence, IAM & PAM, Network Security / Perimeter Security, Email Security, Data Loss Prevention, Anti-Virus and Endpoint Protection
Experience with implementing AWS services and infrastructure using Terraform and Cloudformation / SAM
Practical experience with defining security for various stages in a CI/CD pipeline using Jenkins, GitHub Actions and/or CodePipeline
Experience in defining and implementing Technical controls, including preventative and detective
Experience in the operation of Linux machines
Experience with scripting in Python would be advantageous
Self-starter, willingness to learn new skills and be self-motivated
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
