We have an exciting opportunity to join our IT Infrastructure team working as an Infrastructure Engineer reporting into the Head of Infrastructure. This is a small team supporting 200+ staff across two offices. It’s a hands-on role, requiring a variety of skills and experience ranging from 1st to 3rd line support, as well as a passion for delivery and ownership of IT projects.

This role will allow you to also work alongside our Development and Data teams, providing exceptional support across the entire business.

We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for IT, with a curious and inquisitive nature, able to adapt and pick up new technologies with ease.

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing BAU IT support across 1st and 3rd line capacity
• Diagnosing and fixing faults at Infrastructure level
• Managing or assisting with IT projects, rollouts, and upgrades.
• Ensuring high availability and reliability of IT services and systems
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams

Skills and Experience

Required Skills

• 5 years + of support experience in 2nd/3rd line or Infrastructure capacity
• Experience in the following areas:VMWareWindows Server 2016+Active Directory and Domain Services (DNS, DHCP, DFS, Group Policy, RDS)Office 365/Exchange OnlineWorkstation/Laptop, Server and Infrastructure HardwareNetworking and FirewallsWeb Hosting (IIS, Apache, Load Balancers, SSL)Microsoft SQL ServerBackup Software (Veeam)Linux (Ubuntu Server, LAMP)VOIP TelephonyAzure (or similar cloud environments)Remote Working Technologies (VPN, ZeroTrust)
• Collaborative team player
• Confident working independently

Advantageous Skills and Experience

• Relevant industry certifications, training, or education (ie. BTEC, HND, B.Sc, CCNA, Microsoft Certifications, ITIL)
• Good understanding of web development and .NET environments
• Knowledge of Cyber Security principles and best practices
• Experience with Content Management Systems (Joomla, Wordpress, Drupal etc)
• Experience of contact centre environments
• Experience working in data centres
• Experience with RingCentral telephony and/or NICE CXOne
• Experience with automation software, EDI and SFTP

Other Requirements

• Must hold valid UK driving license and have own transport.
• Must be a UK resident and able to commute to Poole head office (Monday to Friday)
• Occasional (approx. quarterly) travel to Chesterfield office
• Some out of hours support (very minimal)
