Infrastructure engineer – Aspiring Security Operations Engineer

£55,000 – 70,000 + benefits

Leading professional services firm is actively recruiting for an aspiring Security Operations Engineer to join the cyber security function to assist in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions across IT infrastructure, ensuring the protection of sensitive data, systems, and applications.

This could suit an experienced Infrastructure engineer who is looking to transition into the Security space, a strong background in Microsoft stack technologies will be beneficial.

This will involve:

• Implementing new security technology and focusing on security trends, analyse cyber landscape, and ensure effective protection and defence to emerging threats
• This is a role that will involve driving transformation, the post holder must be experienced in driving improvement, identifying, and owning change with a track record in a high-level of delivery

Essential experience for the position of Infrastructure engineer – Security Operations Engineer

• Eexperienced in a broad variety of technology including Azure, 365 E5 products, Internet protection, Vulnerability management, SIEM, Firewalls, CASB, WAF and EDR products
• They will demonstrate experience and a track record of delivering a highly professional standard technology solutions at a significant organisation (>1,000 seats), with exposure to transformation in Professional or Managed Services preferred
• They will also engage and technically support in driving drive performance in third parties and will have a solid understanding of commercials and licensing agreements to ensure value for money in the function
• Experience in managing, supporting, and improving enterprise security solutions with a strong understanding of the impact of these changes
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem solving & delivery skills coupled with a good understanding of ITIL support processes
• Experience in implementing, customising, and supporting third party systems including managing suppliers to delivery
• Experience in configuring and securing Cloud, SaaS, Endpoint and On-Premises solutions
