Our client are currently seeking a highly proficient Network Engineer to join there dynamic team in Manchester. This pivotal role will focus on the design, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge network security solutions. As a vital contributor, you’ll offer bespoke advice and develop solutions to enhance our clients’ network and security frameworks. Emphasizing the importance of risk management, incident response, and regulatory compliance, you’ll play a crucial role in fortifying the security stance of our clientele’s network infrastructures.

Location: Manchester or Liverpool offices (Hybrid)

Salary: £65,000

Key Expectations:

We are on the look out for a highly skilled Network Engineer responsible for implementation, and support of networking security and firewalls. The ideal candidate must excel in technologies like Cisco, Meraki, Dell Networking, VMware NSX, CitrixNetscaler, and possess knowledge in risk management, security incident management, and compliance management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly handle the setup of network security technologies such as firewalls and VPNs. Focus on flawless integration with client systems, ensuring the deployment of effective security protocols.
• Offer continuous assistance for existing security setups, oversee network activity, scrutinize security logs, and address incidents as they occur. Resolve problems, execute system updates, and improve security measures.
• Leverage an in-depth understanding of risk management strategies to counsel clients on minimizing threats. Perform detailed risk analyses, pinpoint security deficiencies, and propose remedial actions. Maintain strict adherence to security guidelines and compliance requirements.

Skills & Experience:

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, Dell Networking, VMware NSX, CitrixNetscaler, and other leading network technologies.
• Strong understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Preferred certifications: CRISC, CISM, CISSP, CCNA networking, CCNACyberOps.
• Proven track record of implementing and managing network security solutions.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments, managing security incidents, and ensuring compliance.
