We are in search of an experienced professional to take on the crucial role of Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for a developing Electronic Money Institution (EMI). This role presents a unique opportunity to join a dynamic venture within the financial services sector, catering to both individuals and businesses worldwide. Key Responsibilities: First 3-6 Months:

• Consultant Role: Act as a consultant CTO during the EMI licensing process.
• Regulatory Communication: Respond to inquiries from regulators as needed.
• Minimal Active Duties: No active development or strategic planning is required during this period.
• Parallel Employment: The candidate can continue working at their current job while fulfilling these consulting duties.

After 3-6 Months:

Technology Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and communicate the client’s technology vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business goals and objectives.
• Identify and evaluate emerging technologies and trends relevant to the Electronic Money Institution industry and assess their potential impact on the client’s business.

Product Development and Innovation:

• Lead the design, development, and delivery of innovative technology solutions, products, and services to meet the needs of the client’s customers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and user-friendly digital solutions.

Technology Architecture and Infrastructure:

• Define and maintain the overall technology architecture, infrastructure, and platforms to support the client’s operations and growth.
• Ensure the security, scalability, reliability, and performance of the client’s systems and applications.

Software Development and Engineering:

• Oversee the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the technology team.

Data Management and Analytics:

• Establish data management strategies, processes, and governance frameworks to ensure the integrity, quality, and accessibility of the client’s data assets.
• Leverage data analytics and business intelligence tools to derive actionable insights and drive data-driven decision-making.

Cybersecurity and Compliance:

• Implement robust cybersecurity measures and controls to protect the client’s systems, networks, and data from security threats and vulnerabilities.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices governing information security and data privacy.

Vendor Management and Partnerships:

• Evaluate and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and strategic partners to optimize performance, cost-effectiveness, and innovation.
• Negotiate contracts, service level agreements, and other agreements with external partners as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. An MBA or relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are a plus.
• Proven experience as a CTO, VP of Engineering, or senior technology leadership role in the financial services industry, preferably within Electronic Money Institutions or fintech companies.
• Deep technical expertise in software development, systems architecture, cloud computing, and emerging technologies (e.g., blockchain, artificial intelligence).
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor cross-functional teams.
• Strategic thinker with a track record of driving innovation, digital transformation, and technology-driven business growth.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with executives, technical teams, and external partners.
