This is an exciting Company Accountant position, which will act as the sole part-qualified finance position within the company, supporting the external accountants. This role will cover end to end bookkeeping from finance administration involving accounts payable, receivable and credit control through to preparing payment runs, month end and reconciliation across the business.

My client are an international cybersecurity start-up company, who are experiencing fast-growth resulting in the need for additional support within finance. At 20-50 employees this company is still young and growing and therefore are looking for a like-minded candidate to take the wheel regarding the companies accounts.

Description

As the Company Accountant your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Processing purchase invoices, handling and resolving supplier queries
• Raising and managing/chasing invoices
• Taking ownership of the credit control function
• Preparing the payment runs
• Preparing month end journals for accountant
• Assisting with cashflow report
• Performing bank reconciliations
• Performing supplier reconciliaitions
• Perforning balance sheet reconciliaitions
• Supporting the accountants with month end, year end tasks
• Supporting the wider teams with adminstrative task involving accounts and payroll

Profile

The sucessful Company Accountant:

• Studying AAT / CIMA / ACCA or equivalent is desirable
• Previous experience performing end to end bookkeeping
• Strong excel experience is essential
• Previous expereince as the sole accountant for a start-up / small business is highly desirable
• Experience using Xero is a benefit (non essential)
• A self-start who can demonstrate initiative and problem solving skills
• Excellent time management and organisational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Job Offer

• £35,000 – £45,000 salary
