This Assistant Management Accountant – Cyber will report to the Finance Manager – Support Finance and will work within the Finance directorate based in our Crawley office. You will be a permanent employee.
You will attract a salary of 30,000.00 and a bonus of 7.5%. This role can also offer blended working after probationary period (6 months) – 3 days in the office and 2 remote

We are looking for an enthusiastic assistant management accountant to help support the finances for our Cyber security department in a newly created role.
Cyber security is a significant area of growth for UK Power Networks – we are investigating across the medium-term to build new capabilities and grow the team protecting our networks from Cyber attack.
You will work with both the Support Finance Manager and the IS Management Accountant and will help in supporting the finances for our Cyber security department.
To be successful in this role, you will have some prior experience working in an accountancy function – calculating and posting journals as part of managing a month-end process. You are comfortable, and have experience of, producing and delivering financial summaries and analysis – highlighting deviations from plans and reasons for our financial results. You will also work with the Cyber security team to manage the financial forecast – ensuring it reflects reality.
Whilst this is an assistant role, and you will be supported by the team around you.
You are looking to grow in this role which has scope for progression – towards being the sole partner for the Cyber security management team.
You will work in our Crawley office, although there will be ad-hoc travel to our London office where some of our IS team are based – for monthly management meetings along with regular business partnering.

Support Finance is a team of 5 responsible for Business Partnering with 9 directorates across UKPN. Support Finance sits within the wider Finance Business Partnering team of 35.
