The Titan Wealth Group is a wealth and asset management business bringing high quality execution and administration to the sector through leverage of the Group’s resources and technology. We meet universal wealth and asset management needs by supporting our own as well as client IFAs and DFMs with innovative, quality and integrated solutions that drive efficiency into every part of the wealth management cycle.

We are an active acquirer of DFMs and IFA’s in the UK, following an aggressive growth trajectory, having trebled in size from the initial acquisition of “GPP” under two years ago. Our strategy sees strong organic growth within the near term coupled with significantly larger acquisitions. We currently manage ten entities attracting taxation, mostly UK-orientated with exposure to Jersey and South Africa.

The role

This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting and dynamic business and lead a key strategic component of Titan’s future success. This is a key hire for Titan as it seeks to scale IT operations in a safe and secure way and use technology to drive business efficiency, enrich reporting and power client propositions to realise competitive advantages. This role will be central to ensuring The Group delivers its technology agenda effectively in line with its strategic objectives.

Job responsibilities

• Develop technology strategy to ensure alignment with strategic vision and business objectives.
• Work alongside and clearly communicate with key stakeholders (principally Execs and PE investors) to agree IT priorities, manage expectations & feedback improvement areas.
• Keep abreast of new technology market trends to enable new ideas and effective ways of working.
• Ensure an appropriate IT target operating model is maintained to deliver responsibilities effectively across software development, IT architecture, security and IT operations.
• Develop leading, scalable technology applications that create competitive advantages in chosen sectors.
• Promote technology solutions (e,g, data capability) to drive increased productivity and business efficiency to reduce people costs and increase EBITDA.
• Ensure IT service operations effectively deliver a safe, scalable and secure IT infrastructure.
• Deliver a market leading information security posture against escalating cyber threats.
• Create a market leading IT support capability to drive greater efficiency and resilience.
• Get the best out of 3rd party technology vendors to minimise costs, material risks and extract value.
• Ensure IT change delivery (software & infrastructure) is effective and minimises business disruption.
• Create appropriate governance within the IT function to manage risks and issues and ensure progress with IT objectives.
• Develop KPIs to oversee technological performance and manage in line with budget expectations.
• Use stakeholders’ feedback to inform necessary improvements and adjustments to technology.
• Represent IT at the Group Exco, Group Risk Committee and Group Operations Committee.
• To carry out any other duties as may reasonably be required.
• Adhere to consumer duty.

Education and requirements

• 10+ years’ proven experience as a CTO or senior IT Director level role within an innovative and entrepreneurial businesses and successful track record of achieving scale. Experience within the financial services sector is essential, with a key focus on software development.
• Ability to travel across multiple Titan offices both in the UK and Internationally. Specific requirement to travel to Cape Town, where a significant proportion of the IT development and infrastructure team resides.
• Honours degree in computing with relevant other industry exams and accreditation.
• Knowledge of the Wealth sector is desirable, although not essential.
• A key focus on delivering great client & business outcomes.
• Excellent organisational and leadership experience
• Can demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ensure our technology applications and infrastructure comply with all requirements, laws, and regulations.
