Location: Commutable from Bristol (Hybrid 2 days a week)

Rate: £1000 – £1200 pd Inside IR35

What to expect

Experis are working with a defence client who are part of the MoD and specialise in SaaS data products and live services delivered within both the defence and commercial sector across the UK and the rest of the world.

Reporting into the CEO you’ll be responsible for the transformation programme from a digital perspective in delivering the future strategy. You’ll also head up DDaT profession leading the Technology Division (around 200 colleagues). This includes Cyber Security, Information Management, Software Development & Testing, Architecture, Delivery Management and Technology Operations.

The role will drive forward the development and implementation of the technology strategy, in the context of transformation. It’s critical that the CTO is a technology and people leader.

What you’ll need

You understand how to shape technology strategies that align resources, quality, and infrastructure to meet business goals.

• An outstanding people leader, able to inspire, engage and develop people and teams at all levels
• A natural collaborator, with well-honed stakeholder management and systems leadership management skills
• Experience and proven ability to work strategically and collaboratively to contribute to corporate development at a senior executive and, ideally, Board level.
• Experience of operating in a commercial environment with an understanding of the impact of environmental factors on the need for changing strategic direction, an understanding of the bigger picture.
• Demonstrable experience of successful innovation and delivery of technology systems and services.
