Title: Cloud Operations Manager
Location: 2 times a week on-site in the client office (Lancashire)
Salary; £55,000- £80,000 DOE

A unique opportunity has arisen within their R&D department for the role of Cloud Operations Manager. This role plays a pivotal part in a significant growth area, driving digital service innovation within the organization. The candidate will contribute to an exciting roadmap of digital developments crucial to ambitious expansion plans.
The Cloud service encompasses a high-reliability, approved alarm communications platform for intruder alarm system signalling to monitor providers.
This platform is an Express Node. JS-based web service deployed to an AWS auto-scaling setup and Aurora database. Plans involve potentially breaking down the monolithic node service into smaller components to establish a horizontally scaling microservice architecture for enhanced system reliability and rapid deployment of new functionality.

Advantageous qualifications include prior experience with microservices, working with highly available and redundant systems, and proficiency in data analysis solutions.
This leadership position will oversee a DevOps team of two and involve close collaboration with application and firmware development teams in the UK and India.
The salary is negotiable based on experience, and a comprehensive workplace pension with employer contributions is provided. The holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays, increasing to 26 days after 5 years of employment.
The role requires effective management of one’s time in the office, with a regular presence required for meetings and appointments, considering the often-offsite interactions.
