L3Harris in Tewkesbury and Fleet are part of our ICI division, we work closely with UK Government and Security Agencies primarily in the areas of crypto/cyber security, electronic warfare, counter drone capabilities and situation awareness projects.

The main purpose of the Change and Configuration Engineer is to provide Configuration governance and administrative support to the Change Manager, via maintenance of the configuration Product Lifecycle Management database (PLM), ensuring quality and integrity of data.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of the Change and Configuration Specialist will include the following:

• To support the Change Manager during Change Configuration Boards (CCB) and enacting changes as directed.
• To be accountable for Change and Configuration Management Processes, working closely with colleagues to co-ordinate activity across all departments and services.
• To work closely with engineering, supply chain and Operations to ensure that the required data is configuration controlled and vaulted within our PLM database.
• To produce Change Management/ Status accounting information in a timely manner to feed into weekly forums or as required.
• To proactively focus on continuous improvement of self and service, working with others to develop strong working relationships, improve the user experience, simplify processes and improve efficiency.
• To co-ordinate and control the Change Management processes for design change including Problem reporting (PR) Engineering Changes Request (ECR) and Engineering Change Order (ECO).
• To contribute to the established Design Reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRRs)

What you’ll bring

The role of the Change and Configuration Specialist requires the following experience and skills:

• Strong Configuration experience
• Experience of CMII best practice and principles
• Experience of both PLM and ERP systems
• Document control experience
• Working independently when required
• Strong auditing skills and is able to initiate corrective action in a positive manner.
