What you’ll be doing

We are on a journey of continuous improvement within our engineering departments, and across the Greencore estate. We are looking for an experienced Engineer to work across our manufacturing sites and engineering, security and IT teams.

As Control Systems and Security Lead, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Collaborating with site engineering teams to identify processes, equipment and configurations that pose security risks
• Designing and implementing improvements and controls to remediate identified risks
• Understanding and challenging site engineering teams and their existing site maintenance requirements, predictive maintenance and capital plans in the Operational Technology (OT) space
• Performing investigations into unusual behaviours and potential incidents within the OT landscape
• Liaising with third parties to identify threats and vulnerabilities to our OT estate, and inputting into remediation activities, improvement plans and prevention measures
• Keeping up to date with the latest developments and industry trends, identifying technologies and improvements that will protect Greencore, and sharing this information within the Group

As our Control Systems and Security Lead, you will have a background as a control systems engineer and an understanding of cyber security. You will also have:

• Programme management capabilities at senior leadership level and across multiple sites
• Ability to translate OT risks, opportunities and actions into understandable business language
• Relevant work experience in engineering related IT and/or cyber security, including self-taught skills
• Understanding of OT in a FMCG environment, particularly the hardware and software used to monitor and control physical devices, processes, and events in various industrial sectors
• Good communication skills, critical thinking, and problem solving skills
• Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Degree level education or equivalent in Business, Engineering or a related subject (Desirable)
