Our client, a forward-thinking and well-established company, is on the lookout for a dedicated Security Analyst to play a key role in enhancing our overall security stance. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with a passion for cyber security, offering dynamic challenges and long-term career progression.Location and Working Hours:

• Based in Durham or Gateshead, with travel to different sites within the Group in England and Scotland.
• Infrequent travel and overnight stays, with expenses reimbursed.
• Monday to Friday, 09:00hrs – 17:00hrs, with on-call responsibilities and occasional out-of-hours work during cyber-security incidents (Company mobile telephone provided).

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the Security Manager to identify risks, monitor security, and achieve key security objectives.
• Provide security-related technical support, contributing to the strengthening of our internal cyber security resources.
• Undertake cyber security responsibilities, ensuring a proactive approach to risk management.
• Work with LAN and WAN networking, including firewalls, segregated networks, and hybrid Azure AD.
• Show interest and a willingness to learn about new technologies, with exposure to cloud applications, especially 365, Azure, and Intune.

Qualifications and Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of IT experience in a security-related role.
• Possession of at least one of the following qualifications: CISSP, CISMP, SANS/GIAC Certification, CISA, CompTIA Security+.
• Exposure to security tooling (SIEM, IDS/IPS, Vulnerability Scanning) and programming/scripting knowledge (Microsoft PowerShell, Bash, or Python) is advantageous.
• Familiarity with OT and IoT technology and manufacturing is a plus.
