Salary : £45,954 to £51,060
Hours: Full time

It’s vital that we operate proactive Cyber Security service across the Payment Services Platform application landscape – identifying and pursuing opportunities for continuous improvement across our diverse platform.
This is an interlock role in a niche team, working across teams to ensure the right interventions are being put in place, at the right pace and at the right time. The team is split across Edinburgh, Halifax and London.
We’re looking for someone who has a broad understanding of payments, and the various disciplines of cyber security, with the personal attributes and business skills to harness the expertise of these areas.
As a Cyber Analyst in your day to day you’ll:
Lead the facilitation of cyber testing to identify vulnerabilities in our systems and applications, collaborating with internal and external consultants where required.
Manage remediation of cyber vulnerabilities by collaborating with technical colleagues that have various levels of expertise from multiple teams and different departments to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
Articulating cyber risks and also leading the remediation or mitigation of cyber risks.
Perform cyber control testing self-assessments to validate the effectiveness of security measures using the RCSA framework.
There is also the opportunity to get creative as we deliver a series of cyber knowledge awareness sessions to the rest of the PSP colleagues on best practices and emerging threats.
Support audit, codes of conduct, compliance, assurance and attestation efforts to ensure alignment to regulatory and industry standards.
What you’ll need
To have an enthusiastic interest and experience within the Cyber Security domains of a large and complex enterprise organisation.
To be operationally-focused and have experience and understanding of production environments and system architecture.
Cyber Vulnerability Management – leading the remediation of cyber vulnerabilities identified in penetration tests, risks, audits or security assessments.
Have the tenacity and persistence to lead work that requires to collaborate with technical colleagues that have various levels of expertise from multiple teams and different departments – essentially identifying and leading the resolution of cyber weaknesses swiftly by pulling together the relevant experts effectively.
The ability to write brief reports and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations.
Be approachable, proactive and organised and good communication and excellent teamwork skills.
And any experience of these would be really useful:
Cloud experience (GCP, Azure or AWS). Administration of the Cloud.
Security assessments of Cloud infrastructure or applications.
Knowledge of DevSecOps security scanning e.g. Sonaqube, Nexus IQ, Aquasec.
Hands on security testing experience using tools such as Burp Suite and Postman or similar.
You may be a software developer that has a keen interest and experience in security testing.
Financial Services Regulation / Payments Scheme compliance experience.
Any experience of the Financial Services industry in general, and payments in particular would be helpful, but don’t worry if not, we can teach you that, we’re more interested in your ability and hard work to deliver.
