The Role: Cyber Security Architect – Akamai WAF

Position Type: Inside IR35 Contract

Job Description:

Mandatory Skills – Akamai WAF

(F5 WAF)

1. Experience with vended WAF solutions (F5, Imperva, Nginx App Protect).
2. Experience with F5 AppProtect is a strong plus.
3. Good to have Scripting skills (Shell, python, batch, power Shell etc.)
4. Strong analytical skills in root cause analysis, troubleshooting, and problem solving.
5. Experience with web-based attacks, OWASP Top 10 web vulnerabilities, web application testing with tools like BURP Suite or Zed Attack Proxy (ZAP), and extensive knowledge of networking protocols like TCP, websockets, gRPC, HTTP/2
6. Good to have experience with RASP technologies

Akamai

1. Web Application Firewall (WAF) experience with onboarding & workflow
2. Akamai WAF: Bot, ATO, Rate Limiting, DDOS, OWASP rule tuning
3. WAF security policy tuning
4. AWS WAF: Bot, ATO, Rate Limiting, DDOS, OWASP rule tuning
5. WAF API experience, UNIX administration with Scripting (Shell, python, etc.)
