Role Overview:

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Cyber Security Consultant to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in cybersecurity consultancy and be adept at working with clients to identify and mitigate security risks. This role involves working closely with clients at a senior level to improve their information security frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute thorough risk assessments and gap analyses for clients
• Provide vCISO consultancy to clients, developing strategies to manage Information Security risks
• Conduct in-depth control reviews, maturity ratings, and recommend remediation actions based on GRC frameworks such as Cyber Essentials and ISO27001
• Offer guidance on technical security governance, incident response, and security awareness training
• Collaborate with Leadership, Cyber, and Sales Teams to respond to tenders/projects and provide pre-sales support
• Visiting clients on site at their location, meaning an element of travel is involved.

Required Skills:

• Proven experience in developing cybersecurity strategies and frameworks (vCISO consultancy experience desirable)
• Excellent communication and client management skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences; exposure to C-level audiences preferred
• Familiarity with frameworks such as ISO27001, NIST, and Cyber Essentials/Plus
• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, protocols, and standards
• Experience working on multiple client engagements in a client-facing capacity
• Proficiency with common cybersecurity tools and technologies, and a strong knowledge of current cybersecurity threats and mitigation strategies
