Salary: £80 to £90k (based on candidate experience)

Hybrid Model: 3 days per week in Central London, 2 days remote

About the Client and the Role:

My client, a globally renowned financial organisation has an amazing opportunity for upcoming security professionals to join their Security team as Security Engineer on a permanent basis.

Core function of the role is to provide key hands-on input to supporting the security function of the complex on-premises infrastructure, and seek to recognise areas of improvement where necessary.

Main tasks will include deploying and integrating security tools and technology (using Python), and automating tasks (Ansible).

Main Responsibilities:

• Lifecycle management of security tools and technology platforms
• Build and deployment pipeline technologies and integrating security technology
• Python Scripting for various purposes
• Supporting security tools and technology (eg CyberArk, ArcSight, Carbon Black, McAfee, SIEM tools etc.)
• Deployment and integration of security technologies using Python (and other languages such as PowerShell)
• Development of Security function including Security Incident and Event Monitoring (SIEM)
• Automation of security tasks (Ansible/Atlassian Stack)
• Maintain software version and patch management for security products
• Assisting DevOps with integration of security features

Essential Candidate Requirements:

• Knowledge of Security Tools (ideally 2 or more of: CyberArk, ArcSight, Carbon Black, McAfee, SIEM tools etc.)
• Strong Python Scripting skills
• Solid hands-on experience of SIEM technologies
• Experience of Automation (Ansible/Jenkins)
• Professional background in Financial environments
• Knowledge of Encryption and authentication technologies
• Demonstrable experience with other languages eg PowerShell/Bash
• Knowledge and understanding of security standards, frameworks, best practices
• Relevant Security Certification/Educational qualification (eg CISSP)
