Cyber Security Engineer – Firewall

We are currently seeking a number of Cyber Security Engineers to join our client, a leading technology company. As a Cyber Security Engineer you will be focused on Firewall management, network security and Vulnerability Management.

You will play a vital role in protecting our client’s systems and data from cyber threats.

About the Role
As a Cyber Security Engineer your primary responsibility will be Firewall Management, Network Security, Network Segmentation and Vulnerability Management. In addition, you will work closely with the Cyber Security Manager and Security Architect to independently resolve complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Experience with enterprise networks including next generation firwalls, network segmentation technology (Forescout preferred) and internet connectivity.
• Experience with EDR, M365 security, SIEM, Vulnerability management, MITRE attack framework and Incident response.
• Experience of providing knowledge transfer to Service Delivery teams and developing other cybersecurity team members.
• Having an in-depth understanding of threats in a mission critical or national infrastructure environment.
• Stakeholder engagement; promoting a mind-set of developing secure systems, transferring knowledge of security standards / processes and acting as a subject matter expert (SME).

About You
You are a highly motivated individual with a passion for cybersecurity. You have a proven ability to work independently on resolving complex issues, and you thrive in a fast-paced environment. Your strong communication skills allow you to effectively engage with stakeholders and transfer knowledge to team members.

Note: To work in this role, you will need to have an SC clearance with no restrictions, or you must have the ability to obtain an SC clearance.
