Cyber Security Project Manager – Inside IR35 – £500 to £550 per day – Hybrid working with 1-2 days a week in an office based in Gloucester – 12 months initial contract.
My client, the UKs largest producer of ZERO CARBON energy, is seeking a seasoned Cyber Security Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of medium and/or moderately complex projects and workstreams within major change programs.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of cyber security principles and practices and be adept at managing projects within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Definition and Execution:
Define, document, and execute medium to moderately complex projects or workstreams adhering to agreed methodologies and industry standards.
Ensure the safe and secure execution of projects, with a focus on cyber security best practices.
Planning and Documentation:
Develop and maintain realistic project and quality plans.
Effectively estimate cost, timescales, and resource requirements for project delivery within the agreed scope.
Monitoring and Control:
Monitor project progress, budget, risks, issues, and variances.
Take corrective actions when deviations from agreed tolerances occur.
Reporting:
Provide regular reports to the Project Board and Senior Management as required.
Leadership and Team Management:
Provide effective leadership to the project team, ensuring motivation and skill development.
Allocate tasks to team members, appraise individual performance against objectives.
Stakeholder Management:
Actively represent the project team, building and maintaining effective relationships with business stakeholders.
Liaise with the management team and/or Project Board to assure the overall direction and integrity of the project/business case/workstream.
Risk Management:
Manage project risks, including the development of contingency plans.
Project Closure and Learning:
Ensure the formal closure of the project and capture lessons learned for continuous improvement.
Vendor Management:
Manage external suppliers as needed, ensuring their alignment with project goals.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience managing medium to moderately complex projects, preferably in the field of cyber security.
Exposure to ITIL and Atlassian tools is highly desirable.
Strong understanding of project management methodologies and standards.
