Cyber Security SOC Analyst (Nights)

Location: Remote

Salary: 40k + 25% shift allownace

Work hours: Nights – 22:00 – 6:00

We are looking for an experienced SOC Analyst who has solid working experience with Sentinel

About the role

Pro-actively analyse technical faults and provide resolutions
Provide technical input into Client Account Management calls
Liaise with Client Technical Leads for client issue resolution
Provide an escalation point to Analyst Levels 1
Input into client Incident Response with the IR team
Provide QA ticket triage and investigation
Perform SIEM monitoring, threat hunting and analysis
Perform in-depth investigation and analysis of alerts, log files, systems,
and network traffic
Develop critical responses to attacks and communicate these to clients in
order to reduce the impact of breaches
Manage and improve cyber security defences, such as firewalls, IDS and
WAF devices

What do we need from you?

You should have an in-depth technical understanding of corporate domain fundamentals, and a genuine interest in the latest security threats, developments and news. As our own technologies are Linux-based, experience in this area will be essential.

Essential:
Minimum of 2 years’ industry experience and ideally a minimum of 6
months in a Level 2 Analyst role
BTL Level 1 certification (or equivalent) and working towards BTL Level 2
certification (or equivalent)
Extensive knowledge of MDR service, vendor products and client
solutions
Maintains up-to-date knowledge of latest vulnerabilities and threat
intelligence
Experience in threat hunting and analysis
Experience in SIEM and WAF technologies
Networking skills (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, VPN, etc.)
Linux Operating Systems (specifically Linux CLI)

Desirable:
Scripting and secure configuration of systems
Knowledge of incident management processes and tools
Experience with Active Directory, Enterprise Windows OS
SQL
IDS/IPS
Prior Systems Administration experience
