Cyber Security Threat Analyst

Contract Length: 6 months

Daily Rate: (Apply online only) daily umbrella, inside IR35

Location: Fully remote – must be based in the UK

Responsibilities:

• Remain updated on the dynamic cyber security threat landscape and industry trends
• Threat Detection Assistance: Aid in detecting and researching threats across the organization’s global presence
• Identity and Access Monitoring: Monitor identity and access, identifying and addressing unauthorized system user permissions
• Risk Analysis: Evaluate security threats to the global organization, conducting risk analysis for identified threats
• Incident Prioritization: Prioritize and diagnose security incidents, investigating root causes and facilitating resolution
• Incident Handling: Ensure incidents follow established procedures, overseeing recovery, documenting, and closing resolved incidents
• Collaborative Communication: Collaborate with various cyber security team specialties, establishing effective “two-way” communication across the organization
• Testing and Improvement: Contribute to testing and refining incident management procedures
• Access Rights Guidance: Provide advice on defining access rights and implementing physical, procedural, and technical security controls
• Mentorship: Serve as a role model and educator for junior team members.
• Threat Analysis Tools: Employ analytic tools to identify emerging threat patterns and vulnerabilities
• Reporting: Generate regular reports detailing processes, enhancements, and identified breaches
• Security Tool Maintenance: Manage security tools and technology through updates and analysis
• Adaptability: Undertake any other reasonable activities necessary, as directed by management or leadership

• Human-Centered Security Understanding: Familiarity with the application of human-centered security, including security awareness training.
• Security Tool Experience: Practical understanding of various security tools.
• Global Collaboration: Experience working in a global team across multiple time zones and jurisdictions.
• Industry Expertise: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the cyber security/Infosec industry with relevant technical expertise.
• Incident Response Experience: Minimum of 2 years supporting incident response and/or investigations.
