Hays are looking for a Cyber Specialist who is early in their Cyber career. If you have a minimum of 12 months experience within Cybersecurity and are looking to really take the next step, then this could be a great opportunity to really fast track your career.You will report to the IT Director and work alongside a Cyber Administrator. Ideally, you will have cyber qualifications with practical experience.You will gain exposure to the following:Continuously monitor our network and systems for potential security breaches and promptly respond to security incidents.Investigate security alerts, assess potential threats, and implement appropriate countermeasures.Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration tests to identify and remediate weaknesses in our infrastructure.Collaborate with relevant teams to address vulnerabilities and improve security posture.Develop and maintain cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry best practices and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy regulations.Raise awareness of cybersecurity best practices amongst employees through training programs and campaigns.Provide guidance and support to staff on security-related matters.Evaluate and recommend security solutions, technologies, and tools to enhance our cybersecurity infrastructure.Implement and manage security systems such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and antivirus software.Maintain detailed records of security incidents, investigations, and remediation efforts.Prepare and deliver reports to management and relevant stakeholders.Conduct security audits and risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and threats.Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies.Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity threats, vulnerabilities, and industry trends.Share insights and recommendations with the security team and management.
