Your new company
Hays Technology are recruiting a Data Architect to join a growing public sector organisation based in the Leeds area. You will be reporting to the CIO.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and maintaining the data and information architecture and assuring delivery of the organisation’s data and information roadmap. You will be ensuring alignment of the data and information architecture roadmap with IT operations and security roadmaps as well as key corporate initiatives.

You will also be assuring the information governance framework including policies, standards, and procedures for information management are appropriate, whilst ensuring that senior level stakeholders across the organisation information management needs are clearly articulated to optimise the data and information architecture of the organisation.

What you’ll need to succeed

• Demonstrable experience of designing and building data platforms, reporting frameworks, data governance and data transfer solutions
• Relationship management, including experience of representing IT with C-Suite, Senior Management colleagues, and 3rd party service providers
• Experience of building and managing information management architecture to deliver organisation wide services
• Strategic mindset with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to articulate complex solutions in a business context
• Working knowledge of cyber security practices and experience of assuring applications and solutions against information security requirements
• Experienced with a broad range of technologies with a good working knowledge of Microsoft products and tools
• Any experience within financial services would be highly desirable.
