Data Security Compliance Officer

DGH Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading client in the Travel & Tourism industry who are looking for a Data Security Compliance Officer to join the team in East Grinstead. You will be responsible for the management of the firm’s Data Protection, in particular the management of the full process around Data Access Requests.

Key Responsibilities:

* Working with business stakeholders, be responsible for the management, review and continual improvement of the Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) process.
* Complete the end-to-end process of fulfilling data subject requests made under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), such as subject access requests and erasure requests.
* Play a key part in the development and integration of tools involved in the data subject request process, such as the OneTrust Privacy Rights Automation module and other internal platforms.
* Manage data security incidents and conduct investigations, ensuring compliance with legislation, regulatory requirements and company policy are enforced.

Required Skills:

* Extensive experience of fulfilling data subject requests made under the UK GDPR.
* Excellent knowledge and experience of current and upcoming UK data protection law, eg the UK GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018, Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations (PECR) and familiarity with guidance published by the Information Commissioner’s Office.
* Experience of working in a team where providing expert guidance and advice about UK data protection law to internal and external stakeholders is a primary focus.
* Familiar with information security best practice, eg ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials.
* Awareness of payment card industry standards and requirements, ie Payment Card Data Security Standard (PCI DSS)
