DevSecOps Software Engineer Gloucestershire/ Hybrid £45,000 – £80,000 Security Clearance Required This is an opportunity to join a dynamic UK-based technology company operating in the cutting-edge Cyber and Cloud space, where you’ll collaborate with clients across both the public and private sectors. You’ll play a pivotal role in tackling intricate software and hardware challenges through Agile methodologies. Taking the lead in designing, developing, and maintaining large-scale microservice-based systems, your expertise will be crucial to this company’s success.Key Responsibilities:You’ll design, develop, and maintain large microservice-based systems. They will expect you to have expertise in at least three of the following areas:

• Programming experience in one or more of: Java, Spring Boot, Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, ReactJS.
• Usage of unit testing frameworks (e.g., Cypress, Cucumber, Behave, Selenium).
• Proficiency in BDD domain-specific languages and constructs (e.g., Cucumber, Gherkin).
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).
• Implementation of microservice design patterns with built-in observability and security.
• Application of SOLID principles.
• Expertise in Infrastructure as Code with strong knowledge of Terraform and Ansible.
• Demonstrable experience with Cloud service providers (AWS or Azure) – infrastructure build and configuration of various services, including Compute, Storage, Networking, and Kubernetes.
• Automation and integration of security at every phase of the software development lifecycle.
• Hands-on experience with CI/ CD, and continuous testing tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc.)

Qualifications and Skills:

• Hold security clearance.
• Proven experience in the specified programming languages and technologies.
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor team members.
