I am working exclusively with a forward-thinking company to hire a Director of Technology (suitable for a Tech Lead, Architect, Head of / VP of / Engineering Manager) with experience of driving a seamless, user & e-commerce experience when it comes to online & digital learning. With a commitment to strategic excellence, a focus on leading the development & improvement of customer facing tech and a passion for driving results, I am seeking a Director of Technology to enhance efficiency and improve processes.As the Director of Technology and most senior technical person in the business, you will be responsible for the technical direction of the organisation in order to strengthen operational efficiencies, improve customer experiences and drive company expansion. You will lead a team of engineers / developers and technologists to prioritise and implement activities in line with the business objectives. This role requires you to have a good understanding of a range of consumer, customer and partner facing technology which may include some of the following: Programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript .), AWS, Salesforce, CMS / Content Management Systems, Ecommerce, LMS / Learning Management Systems, Billing & Payment Services, Microsoft 365, Chatbots, AI Video Creation, Integration Services, IT / Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture and/or Data Protection laws / regulations.

It would be great for the Director of Technology to have:

• Proven track record of developing and delivering technology improvements to customer facing (maybe ecommerce) systems
• Strong tech leader (this role, while having team responsibility has a focus on strong technical & engineering experience)
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain in lay terms to a non-technical audience
• Technical experience which may include some of the following: Programming languages (such as Java, Python, JavaScript .), AWS, Salesforce, CMS / Content Management Systems, Ecommerce, LMS / Learning Management Systems, Billing & Payment Services, Microsoft 365, Chatbots, AI Video Creation, Integration Services, IT / Network Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Enterprise Architecture and/or Data Protection laws / regulations
• Results-driven mindset with a focus on improving systems, meeting business objectives and evolving to a modern technology organisation
