We are seeking an Ethical Hacker for our Government client, and can be based in London, Manchester, Bristol or Glasgow and will be 60% in the office weekly, but the Hiring Manager can be flexible, and the remainder remote.

The Ethical Hacker role will be an initial 12 month contract, paying between £650 – £791/Day Inside IR35.

This role is inside IR35 – Due to the service of the role it will now be based on an Umbrella solution.

Role Profile:

• Experience delivering penetration testing
• Ability to conceive, plan and execute sophisticated attack vectors
• Experience with pentesting tools
• Deliver web application tests of our digital services
• Perform infrastructure penetration tests of traditional Cabinet Office IT systems
• Deliver endpoint build reviews of Cabinet Office enterprise IT and cloud assets
• Deliver cloud security configuration reviews (focusing on AWS) and infrastructure as code reviews (e.g. Terraform)
• Contribute to the delivery of new capabilities (e.g., specialist system assessments, or “purple team” exercises working alongside the Cyber Defence team)
• Build and improve the tools, processes and training within the team to ensure quality tests and improve efficiency
• Contribute to the continual improvement and automation of the team’s capabilities and processes
• Experience delivering penetration testing of:web based servicescloud services and underlying infrastructuretraditional IT infrastructure
• The ability to conceive, plan and execute sophisticated attack vectors
• The background knowledge to recommend corrective action or other mitigations
• Good analytical skills to understand the implications of security threats
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• The drive and desire to ensure business and technical risks are clearly communicated
• Experience using tools such as BurpSuite, and the suite of tools within Kali
• Experience developing and/or reviewing source code, especially within a Linux and Python environment
