Overview
As a Facilitation Lead you will lead a team of technologists and expert facilitators whose passion and skills for teaching as well as their technical expertise sets Decoded apart from its competitors. You will lead the delivery of our Mindset curriculum across topics within data science and analytics, digital transformation and new technology, cyber- and data security, and ways of working.
You are passionate about leadership education and the impact of learning for individuals and organisations. You understand how to communicate that if the learner succeeds, the organisation succeeds. You will be responsible for leading facilitation capability within Decoded to deliver an exceptional educational experience to our learners – creating a highly motivated team that puts the learner experience at the heart of our mission and culture.
As an individual you are able to lead experts across multiple digital and technical domains and work alongside them to create a culture of learner centred education. You are able to communicate technical topics to leaders within business without technical jargon. You are not expected to be an expert but you will be willing and able to learn about Digital and Data technologies.
To achieve this you will lead, measure and observe the development of facilitation skills, working alongside your peers to continually measure, improve and motivate our facilitator community to use innovative teaching practices to ensure we deliver virtual, in person and blended learning experiences to the highest of quality.
Accountabilities
As Facilitation Lead at Decoded, you are accountable for Mindset facilitation training, quality, and learner satisfaction.
Additionally, you will be responsible for the development of onboarding and managing relationships with internal and freelance colleagues on our facilitation team.
Specific Role & Responsibilities
Teaching
You will facilitate Mindset workshops and immersions regularly against the scheduled calendar across all Mindset content
You will facilitate sessions for new and existing clients, senior leaders, and large audiences both virtually and in person
You will pilot newly developed content to launch with high quality, to model facilitation, and to feedback on product development
Team training
Your role will be to ensure that our Associate facilitators are highly proficient in delivering world class learning experiences, setting clear standards of performance
You will use the results of learner feedback to target strengths and areas for improvement through training and coaching our Associate facilitators one to one and in group settings
Provide formative feedback based on workshop observations
Organise and in some cases deliver training to improve facilitation and andragogy practices
Collaborate with client management team members to ensure facilitators are trained and understand context of sessions they are facilitating
Observation / Coaching
You will observe facilitators regularly to monitor quality of delivery and content in relation to the best practices
You will observe workshops led by other teachers to identify areas of excellence and areas for improvement
You will monitor learner feedback on workshops and immersions to identify strengths and weaknesses of the facilitators and feedback to the development team content that needs improvement
You will be responsible for the observation, mentorship and training of all teaching team members within Decoded
You will champion and empower a culture of continuous learning and improvement
Who are you?
Essential:
Passionate about our mission to bring technology education to the wider world
A technical subject matter expert, for example data scientist, software engineer or security specialist with exposure to code, version control and cloud deployment in a professional setting
A versatile public speaker and educator able to adjust to different audience sizes, seniority levels and contexts
Knowledgeable and understanding of learning design methodologies, assessment, and evaluation
Data driven in the way you work and think able to lead improvement through data insights
Bonus:

You have worked in a professional training setting across numerous client domains and vertical such as finance, retail or technology
You are experienced with agile/iterative ways of working

Team & Reporting Structure
This role will report into the Mindset Product Director, with regional line management as necessary. The holder of this position will be part of the Mindset Product Team.
Day-To-Day
We are a global workforce currently working a blend of remote and office working. Remote and flexible working has always been part of our culture and will continue to be encouraged. Our working hours are typically from 9am-5pm Monday – Friday in the time zone you reside in, however you will be in control and responsible for your time. You will plan your working day around the best outcomes for success, identifying and prioritising projects against business needs. For this position to be successful, weekly working hours must overlap with both GMT, EST, and occasionally HKT time zones to collaborate effectively with the global team.
