Head of IT – Job OpportunityLocation: Shrewsbury, Shropshire, SY3Based on site.Salary: £70k – £80k plus a range of benefits including life Insurance, access to gym & sporting facilities and generous holiday entitlement.Our well established, prestigious client based in Shropshire is looking to appoint an Head of IT to manage their IT Infrastructure and IT team.The Head of IT role will oversee the strategy, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, the IT team and resources to support all users. Project delivery is key as well as being able to balance strategic objectives with the operational delivery of a company wide support department, whilst spearheading the improvement and maintenance of cyber security and the efficiency of IT systems. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and influencer with leadership experience and a proven track record of making improvements through innovative strategic planning.Head of IT experience: Strong experience of operational and strategic IT management in business or education Ability to recognise business opportunities and present a clear strategic vision of how technology can be applied to achieve success. Developing, implementing, and managing strategies aligned to key business objectives. Ability to lead and motivate in-house teams and external stakeholders. Experience implementing transformational change and providing continuous improvement. Experience of working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple workstreams A skilled negotiator able to deploy tact and diplomacy to achieve objectives. Evidence of preparing, managing, and monitoring budget expenditure Able to write clear and concise plans, proposals and reports.Head of IT – additional skills: Knowledge and experience of project management. Detailed knowledge of cyber security frameworks, infrastructure hardware and architecture, cloud-based software, the open group architecture framework (TOGAF)Head of IT profile: Educated to degree level or equivalent experience within technology.
