4c has partnered with an innovative, family owned food manufacturing company with over 30 years’ experience in their market sector. Having experienced fantastic growth in the past 5 years, and about to embark upon another exciting period of investment and growth, our client is seeking to appoint a Head of IT who will be responsible for leading, managing and developing the entire IT & Business Systems function of the business.Reporting to the CFO, the successful candidate will be tasked with creating and implementing the strategy, structure, and processes which will ensure scalability, reliability, and security of IT systems and infrastructure which will be in line with the company’s objectives and will support the company’s growth and expansion.The individual will have a real opportunity to deliver significant impact to an already thriving business through defining and implementing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for the IT & Business Systems department, championing a continuous improvement mindset across the IT & Business Systems team.The Head of IT will have:

• BSc in Computer Science, information technology or equivalent.
• Significant experience in a senior IT management / leadership role with responsibility for developing a company wide IT strategy, including a digital innovation strategy, and the management of the IT function within a commercial context.
• Proven experience of leading, developing and managing a multi-faceted IT & Business Systems team.
• Experience of supporting ERP & MES systems.
• Demonstrable experience of protecting and organisation from emerging and ever changing Cyber Security threats.
• Experience of forecasting and managing CAPEX and operational budgets, tracking expenditure against agreed budgets, and reporting at senior stakeholder level.
• Excellent knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems.
• Practical experience with computer networks and network administration.
• Knowledge and practical experience of risk management, governance, compliance principles and practice and threat analysis.

It is also desirable that the candidate possesses:

• Previous experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft 365, MS server, and SQL database administrator and previous experience with Systems Integration (SI), Microsoft Business Central or similar.
• The business currently operates the following software and programs and experience across some of these will be considered advantageous: HPESimpliVity, VMware, Cisco, Meraki, Fortinet network technologies and firewalls.
• Technical knowledge of Network Technologies coupled with excellent knowledge of LAN and WLAN management and experience in hybrid cloud networking.
• Experience in unified comms.
