General Summary:

This company is looking for an experienced and dynamic Head of IT to lead their in-house IT function and drive excellence in service delivery. With a team of skilled professionals under your guidance, you’ll ensure their IT operations runs smoothly, support around 250 staff, and maintain high levels of internal satisfaction. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the IT department, including overseeing the IT Manager and IT Technician, to deliver a comprehensive, customer-focused IT support function
• Manage IT service delivery, ensuring value-driven services that continually improve and align with business needs
• Oversee cybersecurity measures, developing and maintaining IT Disaster Recovery and Cyber Incident Response Plan
• Lead operational projects from start to finish, including requirements gathering, implementation, testing, and deployment
• Manage relationships with external suppliers, ensuring contracts are negotiated and maintained in line with strategic goals
• Develop and enhance IT policies, ensuring compliance with software licensing and regulatory requirements
• Collaborate with other departments to support their IT needs and contribute to the organization s Business Continuity Plan

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience in IT operations management, including line management and project management
• Strong leadership skills with a focus on motivating and developing team members
• Excellent knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS), and information security standards (ISO 27001)
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks like ITIL and project management methodologies such as Prince2
• Hands-on expertise across a range of technologies, including firewalls, virtualisation, operating systems, and network infrastructure
• A customer-focused approach with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
• This role is highly hands-on and requires someone who can be flexible and quickly adapt to changing needs
• Additionally, the successful candidate should be open to assisting the owners with their personal IT matters as needed

More Details:

• Monday to Friday 08:30am to 17:30pm
• Some work outside of these hours can be expected
• 25 holidays per year plus bank and public holiday
