Ever wanted to work in the FS sector but with-out the corporate feel? Trident Search have partnered with a key client who are looking for a Head of Security Operations to join them. One of the key asks from the client is a solid understanding of security operations from a technical perspective, mainly incident response whilst being able to manage a team and engage with stakeholders effectively. This is to give the client full confidence that this department is in good hands. This role will typically be 50% managerial and 50% hands on.

The business is involved in a lot of project work such as integrating multiple business arms and implementing new technologies, so are looking for someone who is able to work in an agile environment.

They have offices based in London and Brighton and the minimum travel expectations are once or twice a month into either location, however if you are open to coming in more often then that will put you in a good position amongst other applicants.

The Role

• Incident management is a key requirement here. Working with the client to ensure incidents are detected, categorised and closed in an efficient and timely manner
• Understanding and defining security operations policies and operational KPI’s whilst reporting performance and other key metrics to leadership
• You will be the SOC SME within the business and will be the voice of the SOC – therefore responsible for SLA’s and ensuring innovation and new ideas are always flowing
• Threat and vulnerability management experience is also key as you will help define the TVM programme within get business (working alongside the VM team)
• Managing a team of six (and growing) passionate people, whilst ensuring their progression and development

Certifications

• Strong SecOps and incident management experience
• Exceptional knowledge of technologies and hardware within your profession
• Be at the forefront of the cyber security landscape, understanding of APT groups and threat actors that pose a threat to our client

• Experience in running 24/7 teams
• Experience running executive operations briefs
• Any Information Security and/or Information Technology industry certifications (CISSP, CISM or equivalent)
