Our client, an established financial services provider are seeking a key member of the Leadership team with responsibility for Technology & Change Management throughout the organisation. Programme Management, maintaining and improving the existing infrastructure, creating a stable base from which change can safely be delivered. Developing and maintaining close relationships with internal, external stakeholders and suppliers so that there is a common purpose. The role reports to the COO and is not technically hands on regarding infrastructure. This is a certificated role under the FCA SMR regime. The role is hybrid between office and wfh so you should live within commutable distance of Stafford.

Responsibilities of the Head of Technology & Change Management

  • Keeping the leadership team informed of service levels, progress on the delivery of change as well as key events being planned.
  • Managing incidents and working closely with suppliers to resolve any issues.
  • Developing relationships with IT suppliers in the building society sector and keeping the leadership team informed of new developments and manage to SLA
  • Developing and managing the Society’s change plans to deliver the Society’s IT strategy.
  • Develop the Society’s IT infrastructure, ensuring it reflects best practice;
  • Working with 3rd parties, implement updates, new versions of IT systems & Testing
  • Knowledge of IT infrastructure, cloud computing, and cybersecurity best practices;
  • Management of IT budgeting, using Project management and organisational skills.

Requirements of the Person

  • Experience of leading change projects in similar organisation, ideally in the Financial Services sector.
  • Practical knowledge of how to apply change management techniques.
  • A understanding of training programmes and structuring training to deliver new process and technology and knowledge to stakeholders.
