ICT Support Assistant

Black Country Housing Group (BCHG) is seeking a skilled ICT Support Assistant to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the effective implementation, maintenance, and support of our ICT systems while providing exceptional service to our internal and external stakeholders.
Contract: Fixed-Term Contract – April 2024-December 2024
Location: Primarily based at our head office, with some remote working opportunities available. Occasional travel to our various sites may be required to provide on-site support for ICT issues.
Hours: 35 hours per week
Salary: £25,243.40 per annum
Responsibilities include:
– Act as the primary point of contact for the ICT Helpdesk, resolving 1st and 2nd line requests promptly.
– Maintain awareness of SLAs and ensure timely resolution of helpdesk calls.
– Assist with security monitoring of BCHG systems and respond to cybersecurity threats.
– Configure and deploy new devices for users, ensuring appropriate access and permissions.
– Conduct ICT inductions for new colleagues and provide ongoing support as required.
– Keep ICT system documentation and asset database up-to-date.
– Manage Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions and all associated devices.
– Provide training to colleagues on devices and applications as necessary.
– Support all BCHG group sites and manage Active Directory and SharePoint rights.
– Assist with printer/copier support and management of print spoolers.
Experience and Knowledge Required:
– Familiarity with Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft Azure.
– Proficiency in PC, laptop, and terminal configuration.
– Basic networking knowledge and experience with RMM platforms.
– Full UK Driving Licence.
– Understanding of Microsoft Exchange Online, Office 365, and Windows operating systems.
– Basic knowledge of VMware/Hyper V and network security.
– Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends if necessary.
