Our Aerospace client based in Fareham, is seeking a dynamic and technically astute Infrastructure and Cyber Security Engineer to help operate and keep traditional IT infrastructures, cloud ecosystems, and IT services up to dates to meet business needs.

As Infrastructure and Cyber Security Specialist, you will manage compute physical/virtual and storage environments, overseeing systems and services maintenance and security.

This role will be split as follows: 10% Network, 60% Infrastructure, 30% Cyber

Other duties will include:

• Provide oversight to project delivery within the hosting and identify management team in Fribourg, ensuring resource demand is met with the correct balance of skillset and consistency, and supply an escalation point for team members whilst ensuring documentation is maintained and process is followed.
• Proactively support and manage the Divisional portfolio of infrastructure solutions ensuring platforms run effectively, securely, and efficiently, ensuring hyper-vigilant support is provided.
• Perform problem identification and root cause analysis for complex issues.
• Monitor and review service performance at a component level e.g., domain services, reduction of report including recommendation for risk mitigation.
• Applies and leads continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency of systems and processes.
• Train and mentor team members. Provide leadership within team and potentially for another team/individual team members.

Technical skills and knowledge:

• Apply standard security requirements to protect systems. Prepare process documentation to specify, in detail, operations to be performed by systems.
• Upgrades and maintains systems after implementation.
• Transition and update LAN and WAN
• Decommission servers
• Knowledge on Dell APEX, CommVault solutions and Cybersecurity experience (SOX, CMCC, Air Cyber) would be an asset

This is a permanent position, based in Farham and is paying a salary of up to 60,000 + great benefits.
