Our Client is looking for an Infrastructure Support Engineer, reporting to the Network Infrastructure Manager, involves maintaining and supporting the client’s technical infrastructure, including LAN, applications, data, voice, and CCTV networks. The Infrastructure Support Engineer will require 24/7 coverage through 12-hour shifts onsite at their office in Solihull, with additional flexible shifts for IT projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and help the local area network (LAN) using technologies like Cisco Switches, Cisco ISE, Firepower, Checkpoint Firewalls, Aruba Wifi, Darktrace, and Solarwinds.

• Fix issues with the network, computers, phones, and CCTV as per agreed service levels.

• Keep an eye on network security, inform the IT Management Team about problems, and suggest ways to prevent cyber threats.

• Work with the client’s cabling contractor for infrastructure tasks, from giving quotes to placing orders.

• Assess, suggest, set up, set preferences for, and support networked data, voice, and CCTV systems, along with related hardware and software.

• Support vital systems like physical servers, VMware vSphere, corporate telephony, email, Active Directory, Flight Management System, operational dashboards, and SQL Server databases.

• Provide limited IT support during overnight hours for domain administration.

• Be the technical support during overnight hours, fixing urgent issues, deciding on root causes, and coordinating with third parties when necessary.

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance tasks, like updating servers and switches, and making sure systems work well after updates.

• Create and keep up-to-date documentation related to network systems.

Salary: 38,000 – 43,000 DOE
