NXTGEN are recruiting an IT Internal Audit Manager to join a global powerhouse and market leading group in their Peterborough offices. This role will form part of a high performing Internal Audit function, supporting the delivery of the group’s annual audit plan. As IT Internal Audit Manager, you will identify and communicate IT risks and threats to business stakeholders, providing a greater understanding on technology risks and the need for greater process controls. You will perform process walk through’s to ensure current procedures are robust and fit for purpose, making recommendations to any required changes to mitigate technology and data risks. The IT Internal Audit Manager will work closely with Finance Directors to protect company financial data and will review P2P, OTC and inventory processes, identifying any potential risks. You can also expect to work closely with IT Directors to review any ongoing projects, sharing expertise on risk and controls as and when required.
Key responsibilities within the IT Internal Audit Manager role will include:
The successful candidate will either hold a recognised accountancy, internal audit or IT risk qualification (ICAEW/ACA/IIA/CISA or equivalent) with prior experience gained in a Big 4 or Top 6 Accountancy firm highly desirable. You will be able to demonstrate internal or external audit experience combined with a working knowledge of IT controls and risk management. Candidates will need to demonstrate excellent stakeholder engagement skills and will be comfortable presenting to Exec and C-Suite professionals, influencing a range of key business decisions. You will demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Assurance processes and will have a clear understanding of a traditional 3 line defence model.
The successful candidate can expect to work with great autonomy, gaining exposure to a range of senior executives which will enable outstanding progression opportunities. You will also have the opportunity to work flexibility as well as travelling to subsidiary business based across the UK & EU (approx. 25% travel).
