Contract – IT Controls Assurance/Control Testing SME – Remote/London/Edinburgh – 6 months – Outside IR35

We are having an excellent job opportunity to work for one of our financial service customers who are looking for an IT Controls Assurance/Control Testing SME who will be instrumental in conducting Technology and Cybersecurity control testing and offering support in the execution of assurance activities as necessitated. Your interactions will primarily involve Risk and Control Owners, alongside other Subject Matter Experts within our client’s CIO organisation and other critical segments of the business. Your contributions will be crucial in ensuring that risk management practices are thoroughly comprehended, remain within the risk appetite, are efficiently controlled, and are accurately reported.

• Role: IT Controls Assurance/Control Testing SME
• Location: Remote/London/Edinburgh (with occasional travel when required)
• Job type: Contract – Outside IR35 via your limited company
• Duration: 6 months
• Proven knowledge and experience in risk management, audit, or control testing, particularly within the Technology and/or Cybersecurity domains.
• Demonstrated ability in testing General IT Controls (GITC) and preparing for external audits.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work within designated timeframes.
• Ability to use initiative to identify areas for improvement and actively participate in developing solutions.
• Strong interpersonal skills, with the capacity to support a culture of high performance, recognition, and constructive feedback.
• A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Professional certifications in IT audit or cybersecurity (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CRISC) are highly desirable.

This IT Controls Assurance/Control Testing SME may require some travel and after-hours work, and the successful candidate must be flexible in this regard.
