IT Infrastructure Engineer – Server, Cloud, Network, Vmware, Cisco, Datacenter – London/Remote – Perm – £65k – 70k

My client – Global Professional services – are seeking an IT Infrastructure Engineer to join their team. This is a highly technical role where you will be providing high level 3rd line server and network support, working on projects in an enterprise complex environment. Working as part of a global team you will be resolving, configuring, migrating, deploying solutions on their Servers, network, Switches, Routers etc.

Duties include:

• Providing high level 3rd infrastructure support
• Working on Projects – Servers and network/Infrastructure
• Windows server support – configuring, troubleshooting
• Supporting VMware/Hyper V
• Looking after Disaster Recovery
• SAN configuration
• Provide expertise in network operation and troubleshooting
• Configuring Switches and Routers.
• Firewall configuration.
• Resolving Cyber security issues
• Analyse network performance metrics
• Promote and adhere to network design standards
• Upgrade and replace network hardware where appropriate
• Participate in regular network health check and process review
• Deploying patches on hardware/software/networks/environments as well as supporting the architecture and integration of technical solutions.

Looking for candidates with ideally the following experience:

• Proven 3rd line Support – from config of Servers to config of network, Switches, Routers etc
• Windows Server technologies including Microsoft Hyper V and/or VMware.
• Exp working in an enterprise environment
• Exp in onprem datacenter support and cloud technologies
• Have the exp to troubleshoot server and network related incidents
• iSCSI, file storage technologies with availability clustering and failover management.
• Advance knowledge of networking, connectivity, VPN technologies and Firewalls.
• Exp in configuring Switches and Routers.
• Ideally up to CCNP Level
• Extensive experience in network engineering
• Experience of Cisco security – desirable.
• Used to working in a fast paced environment
