Delineate is recruiting for an IT Manager to join its Engineering team in Llandysulon a permanent basis.

We are recruiting for an IT Manager who will be responsible for ensuring that our internal IT systems remain secure, robust and fit-for-purpose. Working with IT and Business leadership, you will drive strategic IT initiatives, as well as ensure the smooth running of day-to-day activities alongside our existing outsourced IT support partner.

The post holder will be West Wales based. This role is office based with some flexibility to work from home.

The IT Manager is responsible for:

• Ensuring our IT systems are being supported effectively by our outsourced IT support partner.
• Defining, planning and executing key IT initiatives (e.g. ISO 27001)
• Managing changes and optimisations to our website
• Planning, organising, controlling and evaluating IT and electronic data operations
• Managing our outsourced IT provider through regular performance and delivery review
• Designing, developing, implementing and coordinating systems, policies and procedures in conjunction with the CTO
• Managing internal and external IT licensing and contracts
• Ensuring security of data, network access and backup systems
• Acting in alignment with user needs and system functionality to contribute to the continuous improvement of the company’s technical infrastructure
• Identifying problematic areas to present and agree on strategic solutions
• Auditing systems and assess their outcomes in tandem with the outsourced IT provider
• Preserving assets, information security and control structures
• Contributing to the forecasting of annual budget and ensure cost effectiveness

Ideal candidates will demonstrate:

• Proven working experience as an IT Manager, IT Service Delivery Manager or relevant experience in managing externally provided IT services
• Up to date knowledge of technical management, information analysis and of computer hardware/software systems
• Experience of applying, reviewing and testing Network security
• Good knowledge of security certifications such as Cyber Essentials, ISO 27001 or similar
• Experience of running networks and general office IT
• Experience of managing IT contracts, licensing and external vendors
• Hands-on experience with computer networks, network administration and network installation
• Experience with Microsoft products such as 365, Azure, AD and other business offerings
