Exciting opportunity for an IT Manager to join a leading manufacturing Company producing critical parts for the Defence and Aerospace sectors

Lead and mentor a small team of IT professionals,

Establishing performance goals and providing ongoing feedback, coaching, and development to enhance team performance and capability.

• Ensure Cyber Security Strategies, procedure and policies are maintained and developed in line with Defence Customer requirements.
• Maintain Cyber Essentials Plus standards and qualification.
• Ensure IT systems and data security through the implementation of cybersecurity measures, policies, and practices.
• Ensure current and future processes meet the appropriate business and recognised Quality Standards.

• Developing strategic plans and practices that support integrated and progressive infrastructure and operations to meet current and future business requirements.
• Researching and implementing best practices for infrastructure services, including proven infrastructure methodologies, service management processes, and operational support.
• Providing technical expertise (both tactical and operational) on the evaluation, selection, implementation, and maintenance of information systems.
• Conduct cost-benefit analyses for necessary upgrades and monitor vendors to ensure they provide the best service and value for business needs. Maintaining costs within budget.
• Plan and oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware, software, and network infrastructure.

• Administer and maintain the companies Infor ERP business solution, ensuring best use by end users. Support best practice and data validation of system, through assisting in training with Departmental heads.

• Maintain and develop ERP reporting and assist the senior Team in the development and customisation of the system, to ensure business needs are met.
• Ensure the companies 365 / SharePoint environment remains secure and develop as business needs require.

• Train employees in software and hardware usage, troubleshoot issues, and offer technical support as needed.
• Driving automation in operational tasks to improve efficiency and traceability of activities.

• Collaborate with other departments to understand their technology requirements and provide effective solutions and support.

Required skills for the IT Manager:

• Substantial managerial experience in technology, team leadership, and managing complex systems.
• Experience in leading cross-functional teams effectively and collaboratively in a mid-sized or large organization.
• The ability to focus on multiple products and communicate effectively within your team and with other key stakeholders.
• Excellent innovation skills and a strong commercial sense to ensure returns on investments made into technology.
• Exposure to broad and diverse technology stacks – Microsoft 365, Azure, Infor ERP, etc
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and critical, highly reliable systems.
• Experience in managing budgets and forecasting project costs.
• Experience in change management would be an advantage.
