We’re now looking for an IT Operations Manager – someone to provide leadership of the IT Operations team, ensuring a reliable and secure IT estate that enables high quality service delivery, strong value for money and delights internal and external customers.

As IT Operations Manager, you’ll manage all aspects of end-to-end operational IT service deliveries to include; an in-house ITIL service desk, IT asset management, infrastructure design and management, IT process design, monitoring and management, IT service catalogue, change management and SLA/OLA definition and management. You’ll ensure the security and integrity of systems and data, including IT related business continuity and DR, and provide robust supplier and contract management to maintain effective relationships that drive business value. You’ll also lead on all IT procurement, ensuring that both internal and external regulations are followed, and lead and develop a team of Technical Analysts and Infrastructure experts, ensuring excellent customer service provision.

This is a hybrid working role, at least 80% of it can be delivered remotely but other elements will be delivered at our modern office space in Gloucester.

We’d like you to

• Hold an ITIL Foundation qualification (as a minimum).
• Have experience of a hybrid cloud infrastructure environment where ITIL and Agile have been effectively implemented.
• Have a strong track record of managing the provision of technical support including resources, assets, technical support, and change.
• Have experience of supplier and contract management.
• Have experience of technical procurement, including the use of common frameworks.
• Have knowledge of current and emerging technologies, particularly Microsoft 365 and Azure.
• Be aware of cyber security, business continuity and disaster recovery good practice.
• Have an awareness of networking technologies and principles.
• Have an awareness of procurement rules and obligations.
• Have knowledge of change management best practice.
