Overview:

We are seeking an accomplished IT professional for a managerial role with a strong technical background in supporting Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs). This position requires a blend of managerial expertise and hands-on technical proficiency to oversee IT operations, manage projects, and ensure seamless functionality across various systems, networks, and infrastructure.

Role Responsibilities:

• Leadership and Management: Demonstrated capability in leading and managing IT teams, overseeing projects, and effectively allocating resources to meet business objectives.
• Technical Support Expertise: Proficiency in providing comprehensive 1st to 3rd line support across desktops, servers, and network infrastructure. Resolve complex issues efficiently and ensure uninterrupted operations.
• SME Understanding: Proven experience catering to the specific IT needs of SMEs, comprehending budgetary constraints while aligning technological solutions with business goals.
• Project Oversight: Strong project management skills to meticulously plan, execute, and monitor IT projects, ensuring alignment with organizational strategies.
• Technical Proficiency: Extensive familiarity with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure), Active Directory, Office 365, and Exchange Online.
• Infrastructure Management: Proficient in managing server virtualization using Hyper-V, i-SCSI storage, and network storage solutions to optimize infrastructure efficiency.
• Firewall Configuration: Knowledge of Checkpoint Firewalls and adeptness in configuring them for enhanced network security.
• Data Management: Experience with Acronis Backup for robust data backup solutions and disaster recovery planning.
• Communication Systems: Familiarity with Gamma Horizon and Gamma Contact systems, ensuring seamless communication solutions within the organization.
• Additional Software Proficiency: Exposure to software like Quvo and Accuro would be advantageous for broader system understanding.
• Software Support & Development: Experience in leveraging low code software platforms like LEAP/FLovate, contributing to enhanced efficiency in software development processes.
• Cybersecurity Awareness: Understanding and implementation of cybersecurity best practices, threat mitigation strategies, and efficient incident response protocols.
• ISO Audits and Compliance: Proficient in managing ISO audits, ensuring compliance, and maintaining high standards of data security within the organization.

Qualifications:

Proven track record of leadership and management in an IT environment, ideally within SMEs.

Proficiency in a wide range of technical skills encompassing Microsoft technologies, infrastructure management, and security protocols.

Strong project management capabilities, ensuring successful execution and delivery of IT projects within set timelines and budgets.

Exceptional communication skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders and teams effectively.

Understanding of compliance standards and data security frameworks such as ISO.

Benefits:

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000 according to experience.

• Based initially in our Ongar, Essex office – Hybrid working will be available after 6 months.
