IT Project Manager

Salary: 60K per annum

Location – Hybrid or based in Welywn Garden City

Must have UK driving license.

Everest has a fantastic opportunity for a diligent and experienced IT Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of IT projects, coordinating and overseeing the implementation of initiatives, and ensuring that all IT projects are completed on time and within budget.

This role will be based at our Head Office in Welwyn Garden City, Hertfordshire or as hybrid.

What will the role involve:

• Manage critical projects for effective execution, ensuring adherence to timelines, budget, and business priorities using waterfall, agile, or Prince2 methodologies.

• Develop project and work plans, identifying critical paths, milestones, deliverables, and risks for on-time delivery.

• Monitor project milestones, promptly escalating anticipated slippage and collaborating with department heads for corrective action plans.

• Act as a liaison between business and IT teams, preparing business requirements as needed.

• Manage project resources, including contractors and suppliers, and oversee work allocation and IT requirements.

• Collate and analyse project information, providing timely progress reports and highlighting trends affecting delays, issues, and risks.

• Engage and manage critical stakeholders for successful project delivery.

Essential Experience:

• Management of multiple projects (3-12 months) from specification to delivery.
• Experience in scoping project requirements and translating business needs into system specifications.
• Ability to produce and challenge business cases, influencing senior management with clear recommendations.
• Familiarity with structured project frameworks.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective project management, negotiation, and risk management skills.
• Project management qualification (e.g., Prince2 or equivalent)
• An understanding of IT application development lifecycle, disaster & recovery, cybersecurity, IT infrastructure and Service Desk management.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the domestic home improvement industry.
• Understanding of Business to Consumer FMCG operations.
• Experience in onboarding services and suppliers’ software.
