What you’ll be doing:

Our IT team is growing and we are looking for an IT Security Manager to join us. You will help support the Motability Foundation by ensuring that adequate technologies and processes are in place to prevent, detect and manage cyber security threats.

You’ll also monitor networks and systems, detect security threats, analyse, and assess alarms, and report on threats, intrusion attempts and false alarms, acting by either resolving them or escalating them, depending on nature and severity of the event.

With overall responsibility for IT Security, you will lead the technical discussions amongst the technical support teams, so that security related solutions and usage policies in place, ensure that the foundation is following current best practice.

About you:

To be successful in this position, you will have previous experience and knowledge within a similar role with a working knowledge of best practices, techniques and frameworks for Cyber Security Management. Alongside this, you will have a qualification in ISO27001, and/or Cyber Security or Cyber Security Plus certification, CySA+, CISSP with a broad understanding of key technical IT concepts and terminology.

You will also be a strong team player, with the ability to share knowledge and information, contribute to team initiatives and team meetings also working with stakeholders across the organisation.

Must haves:

• Qualification in ISO27001, and/or Cyber Security or Cyber Security Plus certification, CySA+, CISSP.
• Working knowledge of the best practices, techniques, and frameworks for Cyber Security management.
• Broad understanding of key technical IT concepts and terminology, including relevant issues and trends.
• Working knowledge of logical and physical security devices, including:

o Sentinel

o Tenable

o SolarWinds

o Defender

o Sophos Central

o EndPoint

o Firewalls

Nice to haves:

• Computer science degree
• ITIL Certification
• Other IT/security/network-related degrees
